EA Sports FC 25 player ratings: Top 25 defenders on the game

Barcelona Femeni star Mapi Leon and Liverpool stalwart Virgil van Dijk are the joint-highest rated defenders on EA Sports FC 25.

The pair have both been handed an 89 rated card and, as a result, they top the list for the highest-rated defenders in this year’s iteration of EA FC.

Leon and Van Dijk have both kept their 89 rating from EA FC 24, although Manchester City’s Ruben Dias has suffered a minus one downgrade despite helping Pep Guardiola’s side win the Premier League title.

The Portugal international was 89 rated last year, but he has been handed an 88 rating this time around.

In addition to Dias, Wendie Renard (Lyon), Irene Paredes (Barcelona) and Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid) have also been given an 88 rating in EA FC 25.

Paris Saint-Germain left-back Sakina Karchaoui is 87 rated - along with Arsenal's William Saliba, Milan's Theo Hernandez, PSG's Marquinhos and Inter's Alessandro Bastoni.

Fridolina Rolfo (Barcelona), Selma Bacha (Lyon), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Bremer (Juventus), Joao Cancelo (Al-Hilal), Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) and Gabriel (Arsenal) have all been given an 86 overall rating.

Andrew Robertson, John Stones, Lucy Bronze, Katie McCabe, Mille Bright and Ashley Lawrence round out the top 25.
