Arsenal legend MOCKS Harry Kane's four-goal Champions League record
Harry Kane became the first English player to score four goals in a Champions League match on Tuesday as he netted a quadruple for Bayern Munich in their astonishing 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb at the Allianz Arena.
Kane, who moved to Bayern for €95 million from Tottenham in a blockbuster 2023 transfer, the most expensive deal in the history of the Bundesliga giants, is the first player from his country to score as many in a single European Cup game since Alan Smith for Arsenal in 1991.
Of course, Smith, who got his goals against FK Austria Wien, could not allow the Arsenal and Tottenham rivalry to lie and offered a cheeky dig at his compatriot, who scored a hat-trick of penalties against the Croats.

Bayern a formidable force
Kane scored a perfect 10 on FootballCritic for his performance but was certainly not the only Bayern Munich player to shine on the night.
Michael Olise, who was hotly pursued by numerous Premier League clubs this summer, showed just why Bayern were so eager to sign him as he scored two in a performance deemed worthy of a 9.9 rating.
Jamal Musiala also broke the nine barrier as the creative midfielder delivered a performance that saw him chalk up three assists. Musiala is being monitored by numerous major clubs presently as his contract expires in 2026, although Bayern are stepping up their efforts to tie the 21-year-old down to a new deal.
Raphael Guerreiro, Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka, who is “upset” at Bayern and is being monitored by Manchester United, were also on the scoresheet.
