The German wonderkid's future continues to be the subject of intense speculation. After a lengthy delay, Bayern Munich have restarted contract talks with their star man, but an agreement is still some way off.

In fact, though the Bundesliga side are confident of securing his signature, there is no guarantee that Musiala will extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.

His current deal expires in 2026 and Bayern are desperate to get him to commit his future to the club as they view him as their most important player. They know that the attacking midfielder has no shortage of suitors and have launched a charm offensive to try and convince him that his future lies in Munich.

"I have to say that we love our Jamal more than anything. He is a once-in-a-century footballer and our main aim is of course to tie him to FC Bayern in the long term," president Herbert Hainer said on Friday.

Musiala's transfer admission

Bayern are aware that Musiala has a special relationship with England, having grown up in the country and represented the Three Lions at the youth level.

The former Chelsea prospect previously admitted that he would love to play in the Premier League one day and he has now once again put his suitors, among which are thought to be Man City and Man Utd, on alert by stating that he is 'open to everything.'

"For me, I don't really have a plan or anything. You take on what comes," he told The Times. I don't try to think too far forward about where I want to be because situations can always change by the year or by the month.

"At six years old, I didn't think about being in England at seven. I don't know. I'm open to everything but I’m very happy where I am right now.”
