'DISGRACEFUL' - Arsenal fans fume after Trossard red card
Arsenal fans have expressed their anger at Michael Oliver after Leandro Trossard was shown a second yellow card in first-half stoppage time against Manchester City.
The Belgian international was adjudged to have fouled Bernardo Silva, but he received a second booking for delaying the restart by kicking the ball away.
It’s the second time in just three Premier League games in which Arsenal have seen a player sent off for delaying the restart.

Declan Rice also suffered the same fate against Brighton & Hove Albion, when he touched the ball away from Joel Veltman and was shown his marching orders.
Trossard’s sending off came in the eighth minute of first-half stoppage time and it followed a stunning turnaround by Mikel Arteta’s side.
Erling Haaland had opened the scoring for Man City with a fantastic one-vs-one finish past David Raya, but goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes had put Arsenal in a commanding position at the Etihad Stadium.

However, Trossard ruined the Gunners’ comeback with a needless second yellow card.
Despite the fact he clearly kicked the ball away after Oliver had blown his whistle to signal a free-kick, Arsenal fans were fuming at the decision on social media.
What have Arsenal fans said?
This is insane. Fix up your officials. You’re ruining the league. Your officials are making themselves look like a joke

6 minutes added time. He sends off Trossard in the 8th minute of added time in the first half over a nothing challenge.

The @FA_PGMOL is an utter disgrace.
Kovacić almost broke two ankles last season at The Emirates and played on.
Trossard kicks a ball and is red carded.
Unreal.
Remember when Gabriel was red carded in 1 minute? Yes.— Eduardo Hagn (@EduardoHagn) September 22, 2024
-Rice kicked the ball away - booked red card
-Trossard kicked the ball away - booked red card
-Doku kicked the ball away - no card
Why is arsenal falling a victim every time ?

Trossard has nobody to blame but himself.
But the bigger issue is how a multi billion dollar entity can be okay with their global product being ruined like this.— Mo (@MoArsenal86) September 22, 2024
I would just love someone to tell me why Trossard has received his second yellow there and Doku wasn't booked earlier in the game. The only reason I can see is because he's wearing red not blue. The blue with 115 cheating charges over it.

Doku first no yellow. Trossard half a second after the whistle second yellow.
Serious RVP away to Barcelona vibes.— Con Harrison (@ConMarbleHalls) September 22, 2024
