Both Salah and Van Dijk find themselves out of contract in 2025, along with another key figure in the form of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

On top of this pair, the Anfield club appear braced to lose Alisson, who had been strongly linked with a move to the Middle East this summer. Indeed, Liverpool already appear to have found his successor in the form of Giorgi Mamardashvili, who was signed from Valencia this summer for €35 million and then loaned back to the Spanish club.

CaughtOffside says that Liverpool 'expect' to lose the trio to clubs in Saudi Arabia.

This report comes in direct contrast to a claim made by the Liverpool Echo on Thursday that claimed Salah is positioning himself to remain at Anfield and is "desperate" to sign aa new deal.

The Egypt international, however, has hinted publicly that this could be his final year at the club.

Speaking after helping Liverpool to a 3-0 win over Manchester United, Salah said: ““Coming into the game, I said it could be the last time [I play here with Liverpool].

“No-one at the club has spoken to me about contracts, so I'm just like: 'Okay, I'm playing my last season' and see what happens at the end of the season.

“It's not up to me, but nobody's talked to me from the club. We will see.”

Salah offered Neymar money

CaughtOffside claims that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) is confident they will be able to attract the former Chelsea man to the league.

“Salah will be offered a mammoth contract comparable to what Neymar is earning at Al-Hilal,” it reports. “Sources also expect Reds stars Virgil van Dijk and Alisson to follow Salah to Saudi.”

Meanwhile, Alisson has also addressed links with the Saudi Pro League publicly, refusing to dismiss the possibility of leaving for the division entirely.

He said “now is not the time” for a move when asked in August, but did admit contact had taken place.

“I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this. It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal,” the Brazil goalkeeper said.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot is, therefore, likely to face a challenge to replace three star players next summer, with the return in term of transfer fees liable to be very small in comparison to their importance.
