Arsenal players LAUGH at Erling Haaland ahead of big game

Jorginho has admitted that Arsenal’s players can only “laugh” at Erling Haaland’s ridiculous goalscoring numbers ahead of the big match against Manchester City this weekend.

City host Arsenal at the Etihad on Sunday in a massive top-of-the-table clash between the two Premier League title challengers.

The Gunners know that if they are going to get a positive result, then they must stop the Premier League and Europe’s most in-form player in Haaland.

The Norwegian superstar has plundered a barely believable nine goals in just four games in the Premier League this season.

That tally means that Haaland has more goals in the Premier League this season than every other team in the league,

In 103 appearances for City since joining in 2022, Haaland has scored 99 goals in 103 appearances.

What did Jorginho say?

"Erling scoring again, it is starting to make us laugh,” Jorginho said ahead of the game.

"We look at City's results because we look at all the games and we love football. We love the Premier League so we watch all the games to be fair. It doesn't get to our head. We need to focus on us and that is what we are trying to do.

"You have to keep believing in what you are doing. We are doing that and we keep working hard to improve and doing right the things. We are on the right path and we need to keep it going."

Haaland release clause

Haaland has a release clause in his Man City contract that came into effect in the summer of 2024 that is worth €200 million.

According to The Athletic, that release clause is only valid for clubs outside of the Premier League.

It is also reported that the release clause will decrease each year after it is activated in 2024.

Haaland reportedly has a second minimum fee release clause that will be activated in the summer of 2025 that stands at €175m. It will then decrease again in 2026.
