Man Utd complete double signing
Manchester United have completed the signings of Samuel Lusale and James Overy in what has been described as an “exciting” double deal for the academy.
The academy has traditionally been a rich source of players for the Red Devils’ first team, with manager Erik ten Hag having pledged even greater integration between the youth setup and the first team than has been evident in recent years.
The Red Devils have bolstered the ranks of their youth setup with a couple of deals for the promising 17-year-olds.

Winger Lusale, who is a Slovakia youth international, has arrived from Crystal Palace while they have also snapped up Australian teenager Overy from Perth Glory. He is a right-back.
The news was broken on X by mufcacademy91 and since confirmed by the Athletic.
The user tweeted: “Everything's done. All details completed. Samuel Lusale and James Overy have joined Manchester United. Two exciting talents. Bright future ahead. United recruitment team showing once again we're here to snap up the best talents in the world.”
Both players have been signed to bolster the ranks of the U18 side and are set to join 18-year-old Malian addition Sekou Kone at Carrington.

Chido Obi-Martin next?
United are also expecting to complete a deal to sign Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal. The 16-year-old has been one of the most discussed teenagers in English football thanks to his scoring exploits for the young Gunners team.
This signing has been held up because of administrative issues but the Red Devils still expect to land the young Dane in what would be an eye-opening deal at this level.
FootballTransfers revealed that Obi-Martin also had significant interest from the Bundesliga, while Arsenal were also eager to keep him on their books.
This action shows that United are building for the future, not just by signing eye-catching youngsters like Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee for the first team, but also by reinforcing their youth ranks to mould some of the brightest young talent from around the world.
