Man Utd identify 'serious contender' to replace Ten Hag
Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is reportedly a “serious contender” to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
Ten Hag is under intense scrutiny at Old Trafford and although he still has the backing of INEOS, the former Ajax head coach could be sacked if results don’t improve soon.
Man Utd have only won six of their last 18 Premier League games, and they suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will reportedly consider Ten Hag’s future at Man Utd during the October international break, and the Dutchman could therefore be sacked before the Red Devils face Brentford on 19 October.
Ten Hag will remain in charge for Man Utd’s fixtures against FC Porto and Aston Villa this week, but the Red Devils are looking at possible replacement options in the event that he is sacked.

Simone Inzaghi to Man Utd?
According to The Daily Star, Inzaghi has now emerged as a strong candidate to take over at Old Trafford.
INEOS are reluctant to sack Ten Hag given they extended his contract by a further year during the summer, but they will target Inzaghi and former England boss Gareth Southgate if the Dutchman departs.
Inzaghi guided Inter to Serie A glory last season and he is widely considered to be one of the best head coaches in world football.
The 48-year-old has won nine trophies during his managerial career so far, with both Lazio and Inter tasting glory thanks to his immense coaching.
He has averaged 2.13 points-per-match during his time in charge at Inter, while his contract with the San Siro giants isn’t due to expire until 2026 after he signed a one-year extension in July.
Southgate, on the other hand, is currently available after leaving his post as England manager after their European Championship final defeat to Spain.
