Long-term Bruno replacement? Man Utd offered 'amazing' free agent

Yusuf Yazici has been offered to Manchester United, according to a report.

The Turkey international is still a free agent after leaving Lille earlier this summer. A versatile attacker, who can feature centrally as well as on the wing, Yazici has been a standout performer wherever he has been.

Unsurprisingly, former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil once hailed him as 'amazing' and 'incredible' and one of the biggest talents in Turkish football. The 27-year-old is coming off a solid 12-goal, four-assist season with Lille and is looking for a new employer.

His representatives have been sounding out the market and it appears as though they are determined to get him a job in the Premier League. According to HITC, the attacking midfielder has been offered to a host of English clubs.

Among them are Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa and, intriguingly, Man Utd.

Could Man Utd sign Yazici?

Yazici isn't the only free agent to have been offered to the Red Devils this summer, with Fabrizio Romano previously revealing that Adrien Rabiot's services were also proposed to club bosses several times.

However, Man Utd rejected the chance to sign their long-time target and it looks as though they will do the same with Yazici. There is currently no pressing need for him even if Erik ten Hag would have liked to have added another attacker this summer.

Yazici would occupy a similar role in the team to captain Bruno Fernandes, who recently extended his contract until 2027, and this means that game time would likely be hard to come by. Moreover, the above-mentioned outlet claims that a player would have to be moved on first.

Christian Eriksen is named as the most likely candidate, but his agent has already shut down any transfer speculation. Indeed, it seems more likely that Yazici will be playing his football elsewhere.

With English clubs seemingly refusing to sign him, he may ultimately end up back in his native Turkey. Galatasaray, who just snapped up Victor Osimhen, are said to be leading the race. AC Milan, coached by Yazici's ex-Lille boss Paulo Fonseca, are also in the mix.
