Man Utd 'open' to late Casemiro exit as Osimhen's Galatasaray circle

Manchester United would still consider offers for Casemiro, according to a report.

The Premier League transfer window has been closed for several days, but in some countries, the signing bonanza continues apace. As a result, clubs in England can still entertain offers for unwanted players, though of course, there is also the risk of losing someone without being able to sign a replacement.

At Man Utd, much of the talk in recent days has revolved around Casemiro. The Brazilian is coming off a disappointing season and endured a veritable disasterclass against hated rivals Liverpool at the weekend.

In his previous outings, too, he showed signs that he is no longer the Casemiro of old. He won plaudits in Man Utd's first two Premier League games for his unusual attacking drive, but this came at a cost: he frequently vacated his defensive responsibilities or lost possession in bad areas.

Against Fulham, Man Utd got away with it, but against Brighton and then Liverpool, they were punished. Red Devils fans are hoping that Manuel Ugarte can fix the midfield situation, but this is a lot of expectation pinned on one man.

Casemiro to leave?

In fact, the pressure on Ugarte could yet become even greater should Man Utd decide to cut their losses on Casemiro. According to HITC, this is still a distinct possibility.

The outlet sensationally claims that the Manchester giants are still willing to entertain offers for the 32-year-old despite being unable to sign a replacement in the event of a departure.

It is asserted that Galatasaray hold a concrete interest and could yet make a move. The Turkish giants are on the verge of signing Victor Osimhen and have agreed to cover the majority of his €11 million salary, so questions would have to be asked how they can afford all of this.

However, Gala did sell Kerem Akturkoglu to Benfica for €12 million to Benfica earlier on Tuesday, so they may have some more financial wiggle room. Fenerbahce, meanwhile, have also been linked with Casemiro but are no longer in the market after signing ex-Red Devils Sofyan Amrabat.
