Bayern Munich superstar Musiala is quickly becoming one of the best attacking midfielders in world football. New head coach Vincent Kompany has built his team around the 21-year-old and the player is thriving as the heartbeat of the Bavarian giants.

However, there is some uncertainty regarding his future. Musiala has yet to pen fresh terms with Bayern and his current contract expires in 2026. While the club are determined to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena, speculation surrounding a potential move away has been rampant.

The former Chelsea academy prospect has made no secret of his desire to eventually play in the Premier League, with Man City and Liverpool among the clubs linked. Elsewhere, Real Madrid have been associated with the German wonderkid.

More recently, it has also been said that Musiala is on the radar of Man Utd, but a stunning report has claimed that the Red Devils feel they already have a more-than-capable playmaker on their books.

Man Utd keeping faith in Mount

Ben Jacobs has dismissed links to Musiala and reports that Man Utd are determined to keep the faith in 2023 signing Mason Mount. The former Chelsea star arrived for a whopping €64.2 million but has yet to have any kind of impact at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old missed most of his debut season in Manchester due to injury and he is once again nursing fitness issues presently. To date, Mount has only made 23 appearances for Man Utd, notching two goal contributions, the same number Jadon Sancho has managed in two games at Chelsea.

Jacobs reports that Man Utd are convinced that Mount will come good eventually, but it seems utterly foolish to turn your nose up at Musiala should the opportunity to sign him ever arise.

While this is evidently not a problem for the present time, the mere suggestion that Man Utd would take Mount over Musiala is simply jaw-dropping.
