Man Utd identify three-man shortlist to solve problem position
Manchester United have reportedly drawn up a three-man shortlist of possible replacements for Luke Shaw as they look to sign a new left-back in 2025.
Shaw, 29, has missed 34 games through injury since the start of last season and he is currently sidelined with a calf problem.
Tyrell Malacia is also missing due to injury, meaning Diogo Dalot has been forced to fill in at left-back so far this season. As a result, Man Utd are looking to address this issue during the January transfer window.

According to GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are scouting Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth) and Bradley Locko (Stade Brestois) as they search for a new left-back.
All three players have been heavily linked with a host of top Premier League clubs over the past few months, with Manchester City keeping tabs on Robinson, Chelsea keen on Locko and Arsenal among the teams interested in Kerkez.
In fact, FootballTransfers understands that Bournemouth star Kerkez is being watched by Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd, with the Hungarian possibly set to leave the south coast club next year.
Kerkez, 20 has made 36 appearances for Bournemouth since joining the club last summer, and he has started all three of their Premier League games this campaign.

Man Utd’s summer transfer business
Although Man Utd failed to sign a new left-back this summer, they were able to add two centre-backs (Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt) and a right-back (Noussair Mazraoui).
In addition, they also signed a new defensive midfielder in the form of Manuel Ugarte, while Joshua Zirkzee was their sole attacking reinforcement.
However, despite signing a contract extension earlier this summer, Erik ten Hag is still under huge pressure at Old Trafford, with his side suffering two defeats in their opening three matches of the new Premier League season.
