Chelsea and Liverpool 'alerted' as Guehi hit with 'ULTIMATUM'
There has been a 'significant development' regarding Marc Guehi's future as he has been handed an 'ultimatum' by Crystal Palace, according to a report.
The England star was already one of the Premier League's most sought-after defenders last season, but he really caught the eye with his performances for the Three Lions at Euro 2024.
Guehi was outstanding at the tournament in Germany and subsequently became the subject of a transfer war between Crystal Palace and Newcastle. The former were unwilling to let him go on the cheap after selling Joakim Andersen to Fulham and quoted a price in excess of €80 million.

Newcastle were prepared to go high for Guehi but not that high. The 24-year-old's price tag ultimately proved too steep and no transfer materialised. Next summer, however, there will be a renewed struggle for his signature.
Guehi given ultimatum
According to TBR Football, Crystal Palace have given Guehi an ultimatum. They will not allow the player to leave on a free transfer when his deal expires in 2026.
Guehi has been told that he will definitely be sold in 2025 if he refuses to pen fresh terms with the Eagles. At present, he is showing no signs of wanting to extend his stay at Selhurst Park.
Palace, it is claimed, would even be prepared to sanction a January sale should a suitable offer materialise. They claim that Liverpool, Tottenham and, of course, Newcastle have been 'alerted' to this 'significant development.'

Additionally, it has been claimed this month that Chelsea hold an interest in potentially re-signing their former academy defender in 2025. The Blues do not have a buy-back clause but they reportedly have matching rights on any offer that comes in for him.
Guehi is likely to be one of the protagonists of the 2025 transfer windows.
