Serie A star issues Man Utd come-and-get-me plea
Serie A star Nikola Krstovic has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United.
The 24-year-old plays his football for relegation battlers Lecce, who he joined just over a year ago from DAC 1904 in the Slovak Super Liga.
He enjoyed a promising first season in Serie A last term, scoring seven goals in 35 league games to help Lecce avoid relegation.

This season he has started in good form, with two goals in his first four matches in all competitions.
A powerful and sticky centre forward who is good in the air, the Montenegrin has been linked to a number of bigger clubs but he has revealed that his dream is to play for Manchester United.

What did Nikola Krstovic say?
“After the match against Torino he (former Serie A and Montenegro star Mirko Vucinic) told me ‘think about the next one’. Where would I never play? In Bari. My dream is Manchester United,” Krstovic said.
“It’s only the second year here in Lecce. I am very happy, both me and my family. We have friends and we’re enjoying it, so let’s think about the present.”

Krtsovic has been capped 11 times by the Montenegro national team, scoring two goals.
In total in his career he has scored an impressive 90 goals in 239 club games.
There is no evidence that Man Utd are indeed interested in Krstovic but the Red Devils have been tipped to sign another striker in 2025.
United currently have two younger number 9 options in Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Erik ten Hag had been keen this summer on signing a third more experienced option before the end of the summer transfer window but it did not come to fruition.
