Napoli have reached an agreement with Galatasaray for the transfer of Victor Osimhen, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The wantaway striker could get his move after all. Talks with PSG, Chelsea and Al-Ahli during the summer transfer window yielded no satisfactory results, despite Napoli agreeing a deal with the latter.

Osimhen is desperate to leave Naples after being told that he will never play for the club again and many thought that the only possible destination would be the Saudi Pro League.

The window in the Kingdom is still open and it was posited that one of the other affluent sides in the country would make a move for the Nigerian. This, however, has not materialised.

Instead, the 25-year-old's only way out of Italy appears to be a move to Turkey.

Galatasaray get green light for Osimhen deal

Earlier on Monday, it was revealed that Istanbul giants Galatasaray had opened talks with Napoli over a shock move for Osimhen. Now, Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement between the two clubs has been reached.

Galatasaray have managed to get Napoli to accept a loan deal without any option or obligation to make the move permanent next summer. The loaning club will cover the vast majority of Osimhen's reported €11 million salary.

Now, however, the real challenge begins: Gala have to convince Osimhen. Previously, the striker's unequivocal stance was that he would not go out on loan and especially not without an obligation to buy.

Since this article was published, Osimhen has agreed to join Galatasaray.

At this point, though, it is clear that this is the player's last chance to get out of Napoli and he would be a fool to not jump at the opportunity to head to the European part of Istanbul.

Representatives of Galatasaray are set to meet with Osimhen's camp in the next few hours to discuss the transfer.
