Chelsea ready to rival Arsenal for goal machine Gyokeres
Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Viktor Gyokeres' performances at Sporting CP, according to a report.
The Swedish striker continued his absolutely outrageous scoring form on Tuesday in the Champions League when he netted on his debut in the competition against Ligue 1 side Lille.
Gyokeres was too much to handle for the French outfit and, in addition to his nicely taken goal, he was responsible for getting England international Angel Gomes sent off.

The 26-year-old already boasts nine goals and three assists in seven games this campaign, though there is a slight concern that many of his strikes are coming from the penalty spot and are thus inflating his numbers.
Nevertheless, it is clear that Gyokeres is a very good finisher and Sporting CP know that it will be difficult to keep hold of him. The Portuguese champions expect to field significant interest in January and accept that they may have to sell in the winter.
Chelsea rival Arsenal
The side most prominently linked with Gyokeres, of course, has been Arsenal, but it is not only the Gunners who are in the market for a No.9. Chelsea, too, tried and failed to add a centre-forward in the summer.
According to CaughtOffside, the Blues are among the clubs keeping themselves informed on the situation of Gyokeres at Sporting and they will be well aware of the fact that the player has repeatedly expressed frustration over his hefty €100 million release clause.

The outlet also claims that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Gyokeres despite the fact that they broke the bank to sign Dominic Solanke in the summer. In fact, the report goes so far as to claim that Spurs would 'surely do well to seek an upgrade' on the 27-year-old. PSG are also said to be interested in the Swede.
