Juventus ran out 3-2 winners in a thrilling match, with Serbia international Vlahovic bagging two goals as the Serie A side defied the odds to claim victory with 10 men.

In an intriguing striking duel, Sesko also bagged two goals, with the first a particularly fine finish.

Arsenal’s interest in signing a centre-forward has been evident for several months, and even after not signing in the summer, they have not been pushed out of the market for a new No.9.

TBR has reported that the Gunners’ interest in Wednesday’s game was primarily in Sesko, yet it was Vlahovic who ultimately ended the victor.

Arsenal to rekindle old interest

The Juventus striker is a player that Arsenal have previously carried an interest in. Indeed, he opted to move to Turin from Fiorentina in January 2021 when Mikel Arteta’s side were seriously chasing him.

The Gunners are known to still be keeping tabs on the forward now, and scouts will have been impressed with what they saw if the reaction of Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero is anything to go by.

"Vlahovic? He was perfect, even in his post-match words. He shows he wants to continue learning, improving," Del Piero told Sky Italia.

"With this attitude, the future for him can only be rosy."

Vlahovic has had his problems at Juve over the years as he has struggled to live up to the expectations that his €83.5 million transfer has brought.

He is slowly starting to thrive under the management of Thiago Motta, who is bringing the best out of this group of players.

Juventus, meanwhile, continue to be linked with several strikers themselves, which highlights that Vlahovic, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €56.6m, could be on his way in the not-too-distant future.
