€100m! Chelsea interest drives up price of Arsenal target
German media claims that Borussia Dortmund are only willing to listen to €100 million offers for Jamie Gittens.
The 20-year-old continues to make headlines in England and Germany, despite the fact that he is not even a guaranteed starter for Dortmund. Dubbed the 'next Jadon Sancho' when he signed, Gittens has yet to match his compatriot's output in a Black and Yellow shirt.
The youngster is undeniably talented and he has shown glimpses of it this season, netting braces against Eintracht Frankfurt and Club Brugge, but Gittens is still raw, perhaps too raw to be a reliable Bundesliga starter.

At the weekend against promoted St. Pauli, with Karim Adeyemi out injured, Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin decided to start central midfielder Marcel Sabitzer on the left wing ahead of Gittens, illustrating that there are still some major questions marks over him.
Despite this, the winger continues to be linked with some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
Gittens for €100m?
Arsenal have been associated with the tricky attacker for over a year and on Monday, it was claimed that the Gunners would have to shell out at least €60 million to land him.
German outlet BILD has now gone a step further and suggested that Dortmund are not willing to sell for less than €100m because they only extended the 20-year-old's contract until 2028 last year and want to send a clear message to his suitors.

It is claimed that Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are also interested in Gittens and that they frequently send scouts to BVB games. At that price, however, a move back to England seems out of the question.
€60m was already an inflated fee and €100m is just downright absurd. Gittens currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just €25.5m as per FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm.
