Erik ten Hag: Man Utd sack talk is a 'fairytale'
Erik ten Hag has hit out at reports suggesting that he will be sacked by Manchester United.
The Red Devils are currently 14th in the English top flight table and their tally of eight points from their opening seven matches is their worst in Premier League history.
As a result, Ten Hag is under immense pressure at Old Trafford and he has constantly been linked with the sack over the past month.

However, Man Utd opted against firing the ex-Ajax boss ahead of the October international break and are seemingly prepared to give Ten Hag the chance to turn the Red Devils’ fortunes around.
The Dutchman has now claimed that he isn’t under any immediate pressure at Old Trafford.
Ahead of Man Utd’s home clash against Brentford on Saturday, Ten Hag hit back at suggestions that he is facing the sack.

“No, the noise is only coming from the media, from some of you, not all of you, creating stories and fairytales, bringing lies because I know we're on one page within this club,” Ten Hag stated.
“I said before the [international] break but several journalists probably didn't believe me. Within the club, it's quiet.”

Ten Hag also stated that his side are on the right path to success.
“We have to climb a mountain, but that's top football. Sometimes you have to face challenges, but I'm sure we will be successful, just like we did in the last two seasons.
“I see the good things, good patterns and the good stats that confirms we're in a good direction, but the ranking doesn't lie and where we are isn't good enough.”
Thomas Frank, Edin Terzic, Zinedine Zidane and Graham Potter have all been linked with replacing Ten Hag at Man Utd, although Thomas Tuchel is no longer a contender after taking the England job.
