Amrabat takes aim at Man Utd chief
Sofyan Amrabat has taken aim at Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox in a recent interview.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Old Trafford from Fiorentina. He racked up 30 appearances across all competitions, even putting on an excellent performance in the FA Cup final win over Manchester City.
After the 2-1 win at Wembley, Amrabat made it patently clear that he wanted to make the move on a permanent basis. The MEN had reported during the summer that the midfielder refused to train with his Fiorentina in the hope of making a move back to Old Trafford.

The club brought in the Moroccan international on an initial loan deal last term but did not enjoy the best of times at United. Last summer, Amrabat joined Fenerbahce on loan in August and could feature in tonight's Europa League tie against United.
Ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash against the Turkish club and his former club United, Ambrabat said it was Ten Hag who was pushing to bring him back to Old Trafford, but that former Southampton chief Wilcox overruled the United manager.
"I have a special relationship with Ten Hag since I was a 20-year-old at Utrecht," Amrabat told the Daily Mail. "He wanted to keep me this summer so I wish him the best but not for Thursday. I hope they lose."
Amrabat on Wilcox
Asked why he did not seal a permanent move to United, Amrabat added: "The only thing that I want to say is that you have to ask Mr Wilcox."
The 28-year-old did not feature in a single Premier League game between Christmas and the end of April. But there were plaudits for his efforts in the FA Cup victory, with it suggested after the game that he might stay on further.
Wilcox was part of Ineos' backroom staff shape-up. He was appointed technical director at United in April and works under sporting director Dan Ashworth and CEO Omar Berrada. He had only been with Soton for a year, having left Manchester City in 2023.
