The Danish wonderkid was officially unveiled as a new Man Utd player on October 5 after several months of waiting for the green light from the Premier League.

Due to regulations on transfers between Category One academies, the former Arsenal striker, who is coming off a 32-goal season with the Gunners' U18s, was the subject of a five-step investigation process that delayed his move to Old Trafford.

The 16-year-old, who has also represented England in addition to Denmark at the youth level, is regarded as one of the biggest attacking talents in English football and Man Utd supporters could finally get a glimpse of the prospect on Saturday - but they won't.

Obi-Martin debut not shown

Obi-Martin is poised to make his long-awaited debut for the Red Devils in a U18 game against Sunderland on Saturday, with the striker said to initially be named among the substitutes.

However, the game will not be televised on Manchester United's in-house broadcasting service MUTV, much to the dismay of supporters. Due to the archaic broadcasting regulations regarding 3 pm kick-offs, fans will have to wait to be able to watch the youngster in action live.

Highlights will be provided after the conclusion of the match, but supporters on social media have been left disappointed by the fact that they will not be able to witness his debut.

Due to the current striker situation at Man Utd, Obi-Martin is regarded as Erik ten Hag's third-choice option behind Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, so the Man Utd faithful would have liked to get a good look at the teenager to see whether or not he is ready for first-team action.
