The international break is over, with club football returning with a bang as Manchester United, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were among Saturday’s winners.

Arsenal, though, found the going more difficult away to Bournemouth and suffered their first defeat of the season with a shock 2-0 reverse.

Hampered by an injury that saw Bukayo Saka miss the fixture, Mikel Arteta’s side were further damaged as William Saliba was sent-off in the first half. This was the catalyst for a shock loss in which it was claimed the Gunners lacked “hunger”.
