After Man Utd’s worst-ever start to a Premier League season, Ten Hag finds himself on the brink of the sack.

INEOS are lining up candidates to take the management post at Old Trafford, with Gareth Southgate one leading option, yet there has been one last splurge from the Dutchman.

The Daily Mail reports that Ten Hag has spent £200,000 building a giant wall at Man Utd’s Carrington training base in a bid to keep his training sessions a secret.

The Dutchman reportedly demanded that the wall be built in order to prevent prying eyes from spying on his training sessions and also to shield the players from the elements. It echoes former manager Louis van Gaal, who had windbreakers built at Carrington in 2015.

It is claimed that the wall was built just two weeks ago and the cost of it has angered employees of the club, who have seen some 250 colleagues laid off by owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, it has left fans of all clubs on social media bemused by the latest purchase of the under-fire manager.
