Muchodeporte reports that the club's sporting director, Victor Orta, is pushing for the teenager's transfer even though he joined Spurs in the summer.

The 18-year-old joined from Leeds in a deal worth €41 million and has featured in seven games in all competitions for the Lilywhites so far.

The Spanish outlet reports that: Orta is hopeful of rekindling with the youngster, with the pair working together at Leeds. Their story read: "The sporting director of Sevilla FC put a youngster in the spotlight whom he labelled as the jewel in the crown of his former team:"

Indeed, Gray, a midfielder who can also play as a right-back, is now on the radar of Sevilla, but it's thought that the "operation" will be tricky to do. They also say "Gray can go on the market in January" amid limited game-time. The youngster has played 33 Premier League minutes so far.

Gray broke into Leeds’ first-team last season and he racked up 52 appearances in all competitions as Daniel Farke’s side finished third in the Championship, failing to obtain promotion via the play-offs too.

Brentford were expected to sign Gray at one point during the summer, but the Bees were unable to agree a payment structure with Leeds and the proposed move collapsed.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool were all interested in signing Gray before Tottenham agreed on a deal with Leeds and he headed to North London to deal the transfer.

How good is Archie Gray?

Archie Gray is the youngster talent to emerge from the Gray family. His father, Andy Gray, rose through the Leeds academy ranks and had two spells as a player at Elland Road.

Meanwhile, grandfather Frank Gray played for the club during the 1970s and 1980s. He is the great-nephew Eddie Gray, one of the club’s greatest players who also managed the team.

Like the rest of his family, Gray junior started at the Whites’ academy level, joining at under-nine and quickly advancing through the Thorp Arch system. At just 15, he was named as a substitute for a Premier League match against Arsenal.

Last season, Gray made his senior debut at the start of the 2023/24 season, and even became a starter in Daniel Farke’s starting XI that campaign before getting a move to Spurs.
