Mourinho SACKS ex-Liverpool star days before Man Utd clash
Fenerbahce have terminated Ryan Kent's contract after the player was frozen out.
The Turkish giants' start to life under Jose Mourinho has not gone entirely to plan. Fenerbahce find themselves in fourth, six points off hated rivals Galatasaray in top spot, though they do have a game in hand.
Moreover, Gala managed to pull off one of the biggest signings in league history when they snapped up Victor Osimhen on loan following his failed transfer talks with PSG, Chelsea and Al-Ahli.

It is still very early in the season, but Mourinho's side are potentially facing a make-or-break week. On Sunday, they travel to Samsun to face second-placed Samsunspor before hosting the manager's ex-club Man Utd on Thursday.
Ahead of these two games, they have decided to make a big personnel decision.
Fener axe Kent
Fenerbahce have announced that they have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of former Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent, who endured a torrid time in Turkey's largest city.
The now-27-year-old, who enjoyed his biggest success at Rangers, joined Fenerbahce on a free transfer in 2023, but he would only go on to make 19 appearances.

This season, Kent featured just once, playing 68 minutes in the very first match of the campaign when Fenerbahce beat Lugano 4-3 in Champions League qualifying in July.
The winger did not play a single Super Lig fixture after February and, in fact, he was unregistered by the club following a failed transfer to Lazio in the winter, meaning that he wasn't even eligible to feature in the second half of last season.
Kent's supposed refusal to leave Fenerbahce in January and then again in the summer is said to have enraged the club and it seems Mourinho was not prepared to go against his bosses and bring him back into the fold.
