Victor Osimhen: Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea's January striker plans
Fabrizio Romano says there is no guarantee that Chelsea will sign a new striker during the January transfer window.
The Blues had planned to sign a new number nine this past summer and attempted to bring in Victor Osimhen from Napoli late in the window.
However, the move failed and Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on loan.

With Chelsea failing to sign an alternative, it has been expected that they will instead buy a striker in the January transfer window.
Osimhen has a clause in his Galatasaray contract that will allow him to leave in January, and it has been reported that Chelsea will go back in for him.
However, Romano says that there is no guarantee Chelsea will sign a striker and that they are happy with their squad right now.

What did Romano say?
“In January, I don’t think it’s guaranteed,” Romano said.
“In this moment, Chelsea are very happy with what they see, very happy also with the balance they see in the dressing room, also in terms of relationships, then the performances on the pitch have been excellent so far.
“So in this moment, Chelsea are not desperate to bring in a new striker in January.”
Current first choice Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has made an excellent start to the season with four goals and three assists in six Premier League matches.
Christopher Nkunku has also started to pick up some form, scoring a hattrick in the League Cup.
Chelsea have made a decent start to the Premier League season under new manager Enzo Maresca, and they find themselves in fourth position after six games, just two points behind league leaders Liverpool.
The Blues play Gent in the Conference League on Thursday before playing Nottingham Forest on Sunday in the Premier League.
