Amorim to Man Utd: Red Devils star HAILS Ten Hag replacement decision
Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has hailed the appointment of Ruben Amorim as Erik ten Hag’s permanent replacement.
The Red Devils opted to sack Ten Hag following their 2-1 defeat to West Ham United last weekend and Amorim has been formally announced as his successor at Old Trafford.
The 39-year-old will remain at Sporting CP for the next few weeks, however, with the Portuguese giants insisting that he will see out his notice period in Lisbon.

As a result, his first game in charge of Man Utd will come against Ipswich Town on 24 November.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will remain as Man Utd’s interim boss for their next three fixtures, although his long-term future at the club is currently uncertain following the appointment of Amorim.
However, the Portuguese tactician has already received praise from Man Utd club captain Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Dalot is the latest Red Devils star to express his opinion on Amorim’s arrival.

What has Diogo Dalot said?
In an interview with Sky Sports, Dalot was asked about the appointment of Amorim and he admitted: “He's obviously a fantastic coach, young mentality but he knows what he wants.
“Very demanding, that's what I can expect and I think that's a perfect match for a club like this. The standards are really high. I hope it can be a really good match and I wish for us to win together.

“The Premier League really suits people from Portugal. It's been all over the years that Portuguese managers and players have come to England and been successful, so I really hope it's one more case and I am really excited to start working with him.
“We are going to be a team. We have to work with each other and we will help him in some ways and I am sure he will help us.”
Dalot, 25, has just under four years remaining on his current Man Utd contract and he is expected to play in a new wing-back role under Amorim.
