Real Madrid star linked with shock SOUTHAMPTON move
Endrick could make a surprise transfer to the Premier League in January, just weeks after completing his move to Real Madrid from Athletico Paranaense.
The 18-year-old has quickly grown frustrated at the peripheral role he has been forced to settle into under head coach Carlo Ancelotti, despite the heat that Kylian Mbappe has come under.
When he has taken to the field, Endrick has looked exciting but raw, scoring two goals in 10 games.
But his opportunities have grown increasingly rare as Real Madrid have endured a difficult period on the field, with the teenager managing just 15 minutes across the last half dozen games. He has only managed to log 122 minutes of competitive football in total.
According to Sport, this is set to prompt him to move away on loan in January.
Premier League for Endrick?
Southampton are eyeing a surprise January move for the Brazil international as they seek firepower that could help them away from the Premier League’s relegation zone.
Saints are at the foot of the table, having won four points from 11 games. The biggest issue they have found this season has been scoring goals. They have netted a Premier League-low seven, which suggests that Endrick would arrive with a very real prospect of gaining the game time he wishes.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to England before, yet it was Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea who were targeting him prior to his decision to sign for Real Madrid in a deal worth €47.5 million.
Other options
Endrick is wanted by clubs across the continent who want a low cost and low risk option for the next six months to bolster their attack.
Claudio Ranieri reportedly wants the forward at Roma, while the other team cited by Sport as having an interest in the player is Real Valladolid.
The striker, who is under contract until 2030, has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €33.9m, but while he has struggled to make a big initial impression at Real Madrid, there is no prospect of Los Blancos offloading him on a permanent deal.
