Gyokeres bid incoming

PSG are ready to bully their way to sign Viktor Gyokeres during the January transfer window, with the Parc des Princes side said to be close to triggering the centre-forward’s release clause.

The Parisians have been short of goals this season and see the Sweden international as the ideal centre-forward to replace the departed Kylian Mbappe, Fichajes reports. PSG are poised to go “all out” to sign the 26-year-old.

There is, however, a stumbling block: head coach Luis Enrique has warned that he has limited use of the former Coventry striker.

Barcelona to beat Man Utd and Bayern to Tah

Fabrizio Romano says that Barcelona are “clear favourites” to sign Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah as a free agent next summer.

The Germany international has no intention of leaving B04 during the January transfer window, and while the Bundesliga champions are pushing for him to stay, there is a strong tendency he will depart.

Barca have overtaken Bayern Munich and Manchester United as favourites to land the player, with advanced talks having already taken place. Although Romano says the deal is not done, he has indicated that it is close.

Alexander-Arnold to City?

Manchester City are set to complicate Liverpool’s hopes of keeping Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the news that Pep Guardiola’s side are interested in signing him.

Alexander-Arnold is out of contract with the Anfield club in the summer, and there is limited evidence to suggest that he will sign a new deal.

The expectation had been that he would move to Real Madrid, but City’s interest throws another possibility to the England defender.

Kyle Walker’s poor form at the Etihad Stadium means that he is likely to be the player to leave.

Man Utd told superstar target available in January

Manchester United have been given the green light to sign Theo Hernandez from AC Milan during the January transfer window, with Italian media saying the France international could be available for sale.

The left-back has been in miserable form at San Siro this season, but there is a feeling that a change of scene could be required to restore his best form.

Chelsea impressed by Premier League star

Chelsea scouts have been left impressed by what they have seen from Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarnyi, according to a report.

The Blues reportedly watched the Ukraine international star during the Cherries’ midweek win over Tottenham and were more than impressed by what they saw.

Chelsea are in the market for a centre-back and have also been linked with players such as Tomas Araujo of Benfica and RC Lens sensation Abdukodir Khusanov.
