Five players who could still join Man City in January
Manchester City are in the midst of their biggest January window in recent memory.
Pep Guardiola's usually unbeatable serial champions are miles off the pace in the Premier League after losing star midfielder Rodri to a potentially season-ending ACL injury.
The Ballon d'Or winner was the glue that held Man City's team together and Guardiola has struggled to find any kind of midfield balance without the Spaniard.

Moreover, Erling Haaland hasn't always been at his prolific best this season, which has made the decision to sell Julian Alvarez in the summer without signing a replacement look questionable, to say the least.
So far, Man City have confirmed the acquisitions of Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis, both of whom are centre-backs, so the Cityzens will remain busy until the end of the window.
Below, FootballTransfers takes a look at five players Man City could still sign in January...
Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt)
The most obvious name is Omar Marmoush, a player who should be confirmed as a new Man City star before long. The Manchester giants have already agreed personal terms with the Egyptian and a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt.
City will pay a whopping €75 million upfront and a potential €5m in add-ons for Marmoush, who was the Bundesliga's standout performer in the first half of the campaign.
The 25-year-old is set to earn €10m net per season at City and will sign a long-term contract.

Juma Bah (Real Valladolid)
Another player who appears to be on the verge of joining the Cityzens is Real Valladolid youngster Juma Bah. A relative no-name ahead of the season, the teenage defender has impressed in Spain this season.
This has prompted City to make a move and it is being reported that the deal has been all but wrapped up. However, Bah won't immediately join up with Guardiola's squad but rather spend the rest of the season on loan at RC Lens in Ligue 1.
Andrea Cambiaso (Juventus)
Captain Kyle Walker has decided to call it quits, so Man City have surprisingly been forced to consider full-back options this month and their preferred target is Andrea Cambiaso who can play on either side of the defence.
However, Juventus are so far refusing to sell and it appears that a summer move for the Italy international is much more likely than one this month.
Douglas Luiz (Juventus)
Another Juventus player under consideration is a familiar face: Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian spent three years on the books at City in the late 2010s but never made a competitive appearance due to work permit issues.
He has struggled to impress at Juventus this season and is open to a quick departure. Man City view him as a potential Rodri replacement but the problem is that they only want a straight loan whereas Juventus want to either keep Luiz or get him off the books permanently.
Samuele Ricci (Torino)
Another midfield target is Torino star Samuele Ricci. The 23-year-old has gone from strength to strength in Serie A and is now regarded as one of Italy's best players in his position.
When fit, Ricci has been a regular under Azzurri boss Luciano Spaletti and he stole the show when Italy claimed a historic victory over France in Paris in early September 2024.
Man City have been repeatedly linked with Ricci and he appears to be the most realistic Rodri replacement on the market, although AC Milan and Inter are also keen on the Torino man.
