Romano confirms Man Utd star to be sold for 'important proposal'
Manchester United are ready to sell Altay Bayindir if they receive an 'important proposal,' according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Turkey international has barely played for the Red Devils since joining the club in the summer of 2023. Brought to Manchester to act as deputy for Andre Onana and to provide competition for the Cameroonian, Bayindir has not managed to provide a serious challenge to the shot-stopper.
The 26-year-old was given a chance by Ruben Amorim against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, but the keeper failed to grasp his chance. Bayindir massively disappointed against Spurs and likely ruined any prospect of future minutes.

It may have very well been his final appearance in a Man Utd kit as talk of a potential departure from the Red Devils picks increasing steam. With the club looking to raise funds in January, a departure is becoming increasingly likely.
Romano on Bayindir
Sky Germany previously reported that Bayindir is looking for a new challenge as he has become disillusioned with his lack of minutes at Man Utd and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano appears to corroborate this report.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Italian has revealed that Man Utd are willing to potentially do business. However, only if they receive what he describes as an 'important proposal.'

"Bayindir could leave in case Man United receive an important proposal for the Turkish goalkeeper," Romano said. It therefore appears as though Marcus Rashford is far from the only Red Devils outcast who looks set to leave the club in the winter.
The January transfer window is shaping up to be an increasingly important one for Man Utd, and signing a new backup goalkeeper may have to be added to the agenda despite the club's lack of funds.
