Man Utd eye new top target as Romano reveals 'good progress' on deal
Manchester United's squad planning is ramping up ahead of the turn of the year.
With Ruben Amorim now up and running as new Man Utd head coach, winning two of his three games in charge and gaining a first idea of the strengths and weaknesses of his squad, the club are beginning to think about the future.
One of the key squad members of the future will be Amad Diallo. After already showing encouraging signs early on in the season, the Ivorian is now ready to properly break out.

Man Utd have been in talks with the winger over a new contract for some time and, according to Fabrizio Romano, they have made 'good progress' on that front in recent weeks.
The goal is to wrap up his new terms before the end of the year because Amad would be free to negotiate with foreign clubs in January as his current contract expires in the summer, though Man Utd could still trigger a one-year extension to prevent this.
Man Utd eye Yildiz
Additionally, Man Utd are thinking about reinforcements for 2025. It is well-known that they are eyeing a striker and potentially as many as two new midfielders. Up to this point, it had been assumed that the Red Devils would target holding or central midfielders next year.
However, according to Sky Germany, Man Utd could also look to add an attacking midfielder to their roster as well. One of the 'top targets' for that position is Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz.

Reporter Florian Plettenberg claims that the German-born Turkish international is high up on Man Utd's shortlist, though a summer transfer appears unlikely. Yildiz recently extended his contract and is loving life in Turin, meaning that he is not considering leaving anytime soon.
