Man Utd are set to take advantage of Randal Kolo Muani’s uncertain position at PSG to secure a loan deal for the France international, according to a report from L’Equipe.

Just as Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were frozen out of the Red Devils team that beat Manchester City 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday, Kolo Muani was not picked to feature as PSG overcame Lyon 3-1 at Parc des Princes.

Having been given the cold shoulder by PSG boss Luis Enrique for much of the season, Kolo Muani is on his way out of the French capital.

L’Equipe reports: “A loan, with or without a purchase option, is today the most likely solution. Manchester United are the club that is positioned most concretely in these last few weeks (before the arrival of Ruben Amorim), but the Red Devils have big problems to solve.”

RB Leizpig and Monaco are seen as contenders for Kolo Muani, whose departure from PSG could pave the way for Viktor Gyokeres to move to Parc des Princes.

Gyokeres to PSG: A blockbuster January deal?

PSG are thought to be the club most actively pushing to sign Sporting CP striker Gyokeres in January, with Luis Enrique’s side desperately in need of a clinical striker. Chances have been created by the Ligue 1 side, yet they have been poor when it has come to taking them.

Triggering Gyokeres’ €100 million release clause is a solution that PSG are seriously considering for January rather than waiting until the summer, when he might be available for €70m but there will be far more competition.

Although the Parisians are poised to match the release fee of the Sweden international, what is unclear is if he is willing to move to PSG in the face of such interest from the Premier League, where Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea are all thought to be interested in him.

Kolo Muani’s move to Old Trafford, even on a temporary basis, would help facilitate this.
