Trent Alexander-Arnold: European giants 'OBSESSED' with Real Madrid target
Barcelona boss Hansi Flick is “obsessed” with the idea of signing Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to sensational reports in Spain.
The England international is set to become a free agent when his current contract at Anfield expires next summer and he is widely expected to join La Liga giants Real Madrid on a Bosman deal.
However, Barcelona are also interested in landing the 26-year-old and Flick wants the club to make a move as soon as possible, as per El Nacional.

Alexander-Arnold is seen as Real Madrid’s ‘dream’ target for next summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, but Flick is “obsessed” with securing his services in 2025.
Jules Kounde is currently Barcelona’s first choice right-back, however the France international is naturally a centre-back, and he has been tipped to leave Camp Nou next year amid interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
Alexander-Arnold has now emerged as Barcelona’s preferred replacement for the ex-Sevilla man and the England star was recently asked to clarify whether or not he would sign a new contract at Liverpool.
He told Sky Sports: “I have been at the club 20 years now and I have signed four or five contract extensions… and none of those have been played out in public. This one won't be either.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool?
Amid heavy links of an exit next summer, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has urged Alexander-Arnold to sign a new deal at Anfield.
“Trent should be loved no matter what happens, but he will be respected more than loved if he leaves this summer,” Carragher told The Telegraph. “Local players get treated differently to overseas stars. It is just how it is.
“If I could offer my advice to Trent it would be to sign a deal and get yourself a realistic buyout clause so the option is there if the chance of a move comes around again.
“That way, if Real still fancy it, Liverpool could get a few quid and Trent will always be remembered as Liverpool’s greatest right back.”
