Sesko agent breaks silence over Arsenal rumours with clear message
Benjamin Sesko’s agent has broken his silence around the player’s potential January transfer to Arsenal from RB Leipzig.
FootballTransfers revealed on 20 December that Sesko is Mikel Arteta’s preference to sign at centre-forward ahead of Viktor Gyokeres.
Rumours have continued to link the Slovenia international striker with a move to the Gunners in January and on Thursday there were even suggestions that he could make a loan move to the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking to Fabrizio Romano for GMS, Elvis Basanovic, who is Sesko’s agent, has revealed the truth behind the matter.
“I don’t know where this story has come from but I have never talked with Arsenal about a loan move for Sesko,” he claims.
“Sesko is not a player for loans and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club. If you ask me if Sesko will move in January, I can only say Sesko is a RB Leipzig player and fully focused on that.”
Arsenal and Chelsea set for Sesko battle
Romano has also claimed that Chelsea are interested in the 21-year-old striker, who has scored 13 goals this season.
The agent, though, is not prepared to comment on such speculation.
“RB Leipzig are the right people to ask these kinds of questions,” he claims.
Previously, Romano stated that it would take a “crazy” bid from Arsenal to allow them to buy Sesko during the January transfer window, and writing for GMS, he adds that the €60-65 million price tag being put on the player is unlikely to tempt RB Leipzig into a sale at this juncture.
There is no release clause in place for the player until the summer, which complicates the prospects of either Arsenal or Chelsea landing him immediately.
On his YouTube channel, Romano said: “Arsenal will keep monitoring the player, Chelsea are also constantly watching Sesko, but they’re doing the same with Liam Delap and more players. Delap remains a player high on their list. They’re also monitoring Sesko but Arsenal are really, really closely following him. You’ll remember that they tried to sign him in the summer transfer window but it was not possible and the player extended.”
Sesko remains, therefore, one to watch.
