Arsenal Transfer News Today: Saliba to Real Madrid UPDATE, Rashford TRUTH, Marmoush HOPE
FootballTransfers runs through all the latest Arsenal transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on William Saliba, Marcus Rashford and Omar Marmoush.
William Saliba latest
Real Madrid remain interested in signing Arsenal star William Saliba and they have now identified the France international as a “priority target” for 2025, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alphonso Davies.
Los Blancos have been severely impacted by defensive injuries over the past 12 months, and they are eyeing a mega move for Saliba this year.

Spanish publication Sport have even reported that Real Madrid could spend €100 million to land the Arsenal star in 2025, while they have received a “positive response” from Saliba’s entourage following recent talks.
In addition, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are reportedly hoping that Saliba will hand in a transfer request in order to seal a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Marcus Rashford interest
Marcus Rashford has admitted that he is ready to leave Manchester United, but FootballTransfers understands that a move to Arsenal is currently unlikely.
The ex-England international hasn’t featured for Ruben Amorim’s side since 12 December and he has been tipped to depart his boyhood club in 2025 in search of a new adventure.
We have been informed that Arsenal have considered Rashford as a permanent option, however a deal remains improbable, while a loan move is off the table.
Omar Marmoush update
Liverpool’s focus on extending Mohamed Salah’s contract means that Arsenal have been handed the chance to become the frontrunners in the race to land Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush.
GiveMeSport have revealed that Marmoush is being chased by both Liverpool and Arsenal, although the Gunners could pounce amid Salah’s uncertain future at Anfield.
However, TBR Football have admitted that Marmoush is expected to remain at Eintracht Frankfurt until at least this summer, with the Bundesliga side reluctant to sell the Egyptian in January.
Bryan Mbeumo price tag
Arsenal are reportedly interested in landing a new winger in January following Bukayo Saka’s recent injury blow, however Brentford have now increased their demands for Bryan Mbeumo.
The 24-year-old has emerged as a target for Mikel Arteta’s side in recent months, but Brentford are requesting a fee in excess of the €42 million that Al-Ahli paid to sign Ivan Toney in August.
That is according to GiveMeSport, who report that Mbeumo is unlikely to seal a mid-season switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Jhon Duran hope?
Reports in Colombia last year suggested that Arsenal are eager to sign Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran amid their search for a new number nine to compete with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
Unai Emery’s side are determined to retain the 21-year-old, but they have now lodged a bid to land Borussia Dortmund star Donyell Malen, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Villa are keen to sign forward reinforcements in January and they reportedly have submitted an opening offer worth €18m plus add-ons for the Netherlands international.
Dortmund have rebuffed Villa’s opening bid, however their pursuit of Malen could result in Duran leaving the club, and Arsenal will no doubt be keeping a close eye on the situation.
Evan Ferguson opportunity?
Arsenal are among the club's alert to Evan Ferguson's potential availability this month, according to Ben Jacobs. Mikel Arteta has expressed an openness to pounce on potential opportunities.
A move for the Brighton striker would not change Arsenal's plans to sign a big-name forward in the summer. Brighton could make the 20-year-old available for loan and would likely insist on a purchase obligation to be included in the deal.
Jakub Kiwior eyed by Marseille
Olympique de Marseille are interested in Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior as they seek to bolster their backline this month. However, La Provence reports that the French club have failed to convince Arsenal to open up to a sale so far.
