Arsenal given ‘VERY LIKELY’ message over wonderkid Nypan
Arsenal are leading the race to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, with the Gunners given a clear message over the possibility of landing the 18-year-old in January.
Nypan finds himself tipped as the long-term successor to Martin Odegaard, having impressed during his performances in Norway’s top-flight.
The teenager has already amassed 60 first-team appearances for his formative club, ending the 2024 campaign with eight goals and seven assists in a season that confirmed his huge potential.
This ability to be decisive at such a young age has fuelled transfer interest in the player, with Arsenal and Manchester United among the clubs interested in Nypan.

Nypan could choose Haaland route to the top
Rafaela Pimenta, the agent who has overseen Erling Haaland’s bumper new Manchester City contract, is overseeing the interests of Nypan currently – and that could mean taking a more measured pathway rather than simply rushing to a top side.
According to VG, he could choose to use multiple clubs as stepping stones, just as Haaland did when he left Molde for Red Bull Salzburg and then Borussia Dortmund before completing his switch to City.
While Pimenta is currently sifting her way through potential destinations for the much-wanted player, interested parties have been given a warning that Nypan is unlikely to leave during the January window.
“That he will announce his transfer destination only in the summer is a highly likely scenario,” the report from Norway says.

What has Nypan said?
Rosenborg may be in pre-season, but Nypan has already been drawn to speak of the transfer interest in him.
The playmaker was giving little away as he told Adresseavisen on Friday: “I am a Rosenborg player now, so something needs to happen for me not to be.”
Nypan has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €2.6 million, though Rosenborg are said to be holding out for something in the region of €12m to broker a deal.
