Man City AGREE deal with Frankfurt for Marmoush transfer
Manchester City have reached an agreement to make their third major signing of the January transfer after striking a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for Omar Marmoush.
City have already agreed terms to sign two defenders in Abdoukodir Khusanov from Lens and Palmeiras youngster Victor Reis, who are both understood to be in advanced talks to move to the Etihad Stadium.
However, City’s top target has been Marmoush, with Pep Guardiola’s side having been locked in negotiations with Frankfurt in recent weeks to sign the Egypt international.

And, according to RMC Sport, an agreement in principle has been reached between the two clubs to seal a deal.
City have already agreed personal terms with Marmoush and the 25-year-old is set to miss Frankfurt’s game with Dortmund tomorrow in order to finalise a transfer in the coming days.
A fee has not been revealed yet, with Frankfurt holding out for around €80 million, while City were initially only willing to pay around €50m.
City finally set to land prolific star
Marmoush has established himself as one of the standout performers in Europe this season, grabbing 15 goals and nine assists in 17 Bundesliga games for Frankfurt.
Only Mohamed Salah has provided more goal contributions across Europe’s top leagues so far and Marmoush will be eager to make a similar impact to his Egyptian compatriot in the Premier League.
City have been keen to strengthen after their recent downturn in form and could end up spending more than €120m on their transfers once deals for Reis and Khusanov are also finalised.
Having only brought in Savinho for €25m and Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer during the summer, City appear to be splashing the cash to rejuvenate their squad.
The business could continue for City after veteran defender Kyle Walker announced his desire to leave the club, with Milan rumoured to be interested in a move, while Guardiola could still look to sign a midfielder this month should the right deal become available.
