Chelsea fans want Maresca SACKED after Bournemouth draw

Chelsea’s winless run stretched to five games with a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday evening and several fans have now urged the club’s hierarchy to sack Enzo Maresca.

Cole Palmer opened the scoring with a sublime finish in the 13th minute, but Chelsea were pegged back by a Justin Kluivert penalty shortly after half-time, before Antoine Semenyo fired home a stunning strike to put Bournemouth 2-1 up.

Chelsea captain Reece James salvaged a point with a 95th minute free-kick, however the Blues ultimately paid the price for failing to make their dominance count during the first-half.

The Blues generated 1.89xG to Bournemouth’s 0.16 during the opening 45 minutes, with Nicolas Jackson missing several huge chances, and they succumbed to yet another collapse at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have picked up just three points from the last 15 available in the Premier League, and they will drop out of the top four if Newcastle United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.

Enzo Maresca received immense praise during the opening few months of the campaign, with Chelsea tipped to challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title following a flying start to the new season.

However, the Blues have now gone five games without a win in the English top flight, scoring just four goals from 85 shots during that time.

Furthermore, their inability to kill games off has started to frustrate fans, with Chelsea dropping seven points from winning positions over the last four matches.

In fact, several Blues supporters have blamed Maresca for their current run of woeful form and are eager for the Italian to be fired.
