CONFIRMED: Chelsea want to sign Alejandro Garnacho
Chelsea have registered their interest in signing Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho, according to sensational reports.
The Argentina international has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford departure over the past few weeks and Chelsea have now joined the race to sign him, as per L’Equipe and David Ornstein.
Enzo Maresca’s side are actively pursuing a new winger in 2025 and Garnacho has emerged as a potential transfer target for the Blues following news of their interest in Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.

L’Equipe report that Chelsea are eager to sign Garnacho this year, although they will face significant competition in the form of Napoli.
The Serie A giants are on the verge of selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain for a transfer fee in excess of €70 million and they have identified Garnacho as the perfect candidate to replace the Georgian superstar.
However, Napoli have reportedly seen their first offer rejected by Man Utd and it remains to be seen if they will submit a bid deemed acceptable by the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Ornstein has revealed that Chelsea have made enquires about Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Gittens.
Garnacho has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current Man Utd contract, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €37.1m.

Despite interest from Chelsea, Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim recently confirmed that Garnacho is part of his long-term plans at Old Trafford.
“That is clear,” Amorim told reporters on Thursday when asked whether Garnacho has a future at Man Utd. “He has talent.
“I think he changed the way he sees himself. He's finding the best way to play in this system and is improving during training.
“He improves a lot in the recovering position when he doesn't have the ball. But doing that, sometimes he's not in the right place to make transitions like he was in the past.”
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo to join Chelsea?
In addition to Garnacho, Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo in recent weeks, with the Red Devils potentially open to selling the England international if they receive an acceptable offer.
Mainoo, 19, has established himself as a key player at Old Trafford over the past 12 months, but his current contract is due to expire in 2027 and Man Utd would consider a sale for the right price.
