PSG are in pole position to sign Kvaratskhelia, but Chelsea are also interested in signing the 23-year-old as a possible replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk.
Furthermore, PSG currently can’t afford to match Napoli’s asking price of €80 million, according to French publication RMC Sport and will need to raise funds via player sales.
As a result, Chelsea could pounce as they look to bolster Enzo Maresca’s attacking roster.

New West Ham United manager Graham Potter is seeking a reunion with Chelsea outcast Ben Chilwell as his first signing at the London Stadium, FootballTransfers can confirm.
Potter was announced as West Ham's new boss on Thursday, following Julen Lopetegui’s sacking, and with the Hammers struggling in the Premier League standings, there is pressure on him to work quickly to make his squad competitive.
We understand he is eager to use his connections at Chelsea to land Chilwell on a loan deal.
Jhon Duran latest
Chelsea have enquired about the potential availability of Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran during the January window, as per Caught Offside.
The west London giants were eager to sign the Colombian this summer and they remain interested in finalising a deal amid Duran’s lack of game time at Villa Park.
However, PSG are also extremely keen to land the 20-year-old this month, while Barcelona, Napoli, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have reportedly asked to be kept informed on his situation.
Renato Veiga bid rejected
Chelsea have turned down a January bid from Wolverhampton Wanderers for summer signing Renato Veiga.
The 21-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from FC Basel for €14 million in July, but he has only made one Premier League start so far this season and his situation is being monitored by a number of clubs.
Stuttgart, Napoli, Juventus, Bournemouth and Wolves have all registered their interest in Veiga since the beginning of January, and the latter have now seen an official bid rejected by Chelsea, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Portugal international has been an unused substitute in 12 Premier League games so far this campaign, with his last appearance in the competition coming against Tottenham Hotspur on 8 December.
Three Chelsea ‘untouchables’
Enzo Maresca has identified three “untouchables” in his Chelsea squad, according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law.
Several Blues stars have been linked with January exits, but Maresca is unwilling to lose three players he perceives to be crucial to Chelsea’s future.
“Fofana’s [injury is] a huge blow,” Law told the London is Blue Podcast (via The Chelsea Chronicle). “I know for a fact that Enzo [Maresca] has some untouchables in that team, obviously [Levi] Colwill being the biggest one.”
Colwill has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few years, but Chelsea fought off significant interest in his signature to tie him down to long-term contract in August 2023.
Law continued: “[Moises] Caicedo is certainly one of them and Fofana is one of them. He rates Fofana as one of the best defenders, particularly in his system, in the entire country.”
