Chelsea consider shock January move despite 'IMPOSSIBLE' message
Chelsea could reportedly recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace following Wesley Fofana’s latest injury setback.
Fofana, 24, suffered a hamstring injury against Aston Villa at the beginning of December and Blues boss Enzo Maresca has admitted that he could potentially be ruled out until the end of the season.
Despite Maresca’s recent comments, reports in France suggest that Fofana is aiming to return to competitive action in March, but Chelsea could still dip into the market this month.

Illia Zabarnyi, Ousmane Diomande and Tomas Araujo have all been linked with a Stamford Bridge switch over the past few weeks, but The Athletic report that Chelsea could instead trigger the recall clause in Chalobah’s season-long loan deal at Crystal Palace.
Chalobah was placed in Chelsea’s ‘Bomb Squad’ following Maresca’s arrival last summer and he was excluded from their pre-season tour of the USA.
However, the Blues are reportedly considering a recall, despite Fabrizio Romano recently claiming that a deal “is not possible” as there is “no break clause in his loan deal at Crystal Palace.”

Academy star Josh Acheampong partnered Levi Colwill in central defence for Chelsea’s clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday, with Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo both named on the substitutes bench by Maresca.
Following his side’s 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea, Palace boss Oliver Glasner was asked about Chalobah’s future at Selhurst Park, and he admitted that he isn’t currently worried about a recall.
“I could see that there was [Axel[ Disasi and Tosin [Adarabioyo] on the bench,” Glasner told reporters during his post-match press conference.
“I don’t know if you need (more) if you play with two. I was just reading that [Aaron] Anselmino comes back so they have five (centre-backs).
“I don’t know if they need eight, I don’t know what they are planning. Trevoh is doing very well for us and we are planning with him.”
