Jhon Duran is the most expensive signing of the 2025 January transfer window, courtesy of his €77 million move from Aston Villa to Al-Nassr.
The Colombian was a veritable super sub for the Birmingham club and Villa had initially been unwilling to sell him. However, they softened their stance when Cristiano Ronaldo's club offered a massive fee for the 20-year-old.
Omar Marmoush occupies second place, thanks to his €75m switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City.

The Egypt international scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in just 26 appearances during the first half of the 2024-25 campaign, and Man City opted to make him their fourth-priciest signing in history on 23 January.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the third-most expensive signing in January, with the Georgia star leaving Napoli to join Paris Saint-Germain for an initial fee of €70m.
The Georgia international had excelled since arriving in Serie A in 2022, but he pushed to leave Napoli in January after failing to secure a transfer during the summer window, and PSG agreed to pay a huge fee to land him mid-season.

In fourth place is Nico Gonzalez, with Man City taking their January spending to over €200m by splashing out €60m on the Porto star. In signing Nico, City finally found their replacement for ACL-victim Rodri.
Xavi Simons occupies fifth place after RB Leipzig surprisingly announced that they had made his loan from PSG permanent for a club-record €50m, with the deal potentially rising to an eye-watering €80m.

Abdukodir Khusanov sits in seventh place on this list following his move from RC Lens to Man City for €40m. The Uzbekistan international had arrived at Lens for a mere €400k in 2023 and after an impressive string of performances in Ligue 1, Man City finalised a deal to sign him for an initial €40m.
Another Man City signing - Vitor Reis - is eighth. The talented Brazilian centre-back was courted by both Chelsea and Real Madrid, but he opted to seal an Etihad Stadium switch for €37m.
The ninth-most expensive signing of the January transfer window is Luiz Henrique. The 24-year-old joined Zenit St Petersburg from Botafogo for a whopping €33m. He became the Russian club’s fourth-biggest arrival in history.
In tenth is Santiago Gimenez. The Mexico star has left Feyenoord to join AC Milan for €32m after a two-and-a-half-year spell in the Eredivisie.
