Marmoush reveals Salah SECRET that made him world class
Omar Marmoush has revealed the advice Mohamed Salah gave to him that has helped fire his transfer to Manchester City.
Marmoush is set to complete an astonishing €80 million (€75m up front) move from Eintracht Frankfurt to the Premier League champions off the back of a remarkable spell of form in the Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old Egypt international has scored 20 goals in 26 appearances this season while laying on a further 14 but was left out of Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Friday as the Bundesliga club confirmed transfer talks.
CONFIRMED: Mohamed Salah contract '99% agreed'
While the striker says that he does not want to become the ‘next Salah’ when he plays in the Premier League, he has revealed that the Liverpool ace has given him valuable advice to reach the top.
“When I first joined the national team, he spoke with me about the mental aspect. He helped me a lot with it and told me to work on my mental strength. Many players have the ability, but the mental aspect is what will make a real difference if you want to be at the top,” Marmoush told the Sahibet Al-Saada TV show.
"I tried it at the time, but as I told you, I was like any other young man: when told to work on mental strength, he thinks, "What?" That will not help me!"
"That's what I thought at first, but after going through the experience, listening to him, and trying different things, I realised it made a huge difference."

Marmoush hails influence of friend Salah
Marmoush has revealed that there is a bond between him and Salah, and that having seen his compatriot excel in the Premier League is only a blessing.
“Mo and I have a very good relationship, and we are friends. We always talk, and I always try to learn from his experiences. He has been in Europe for a long time and has spent several years in the top tier,” the future Man City hitman said.
“It's great to have someone from my country on the national team who has gone through all of this and accomplished so much, as it helps me learn from his experiences and listen to the stories he has been through.
“But at the same time, I want to make my own story. Of course, Salah is a great player, one of the best to have come out of Egypt and one of the best in Europe, but I don't want to be the next Mohamed Salah. I want to be Omar Marmoush. I want to make my own story.
“But of course, I learn a lot from him and his experiences. He always helps me, and we talk to each other about how to deal with certain situations and how to improve myself.”
Marmoush and Salah may only share the Premier League spotlight for a matter of months, with the Liverpool attacker looking increasingly likely to complete a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League in the summer.
