Man Utd receive €55m Garnacho bid after Chelsea bombshell
Napoli have made an improved bid for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho following the news of Chelsea's interest, according to Italian media.
The Argentine is increasingly becoming the subject of rampant transfer speculation. Man Utd are open to cashing in on the 20-year-old due to their worrying Profit and Sustainability situation, which is preventing them from making major signings.
The Red Devils are not actively looking to offload a player who was so eminently important last season, but financial considerations hold greater weight to the club's new INEOS chiefs than sentimental ones.

The club most active in pursuit of Garnacho have been Napoli, who are scrambling to sign a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after his €70 million move to PSG.
However, earlier this week, news broke that Chelsea have held discussions over signing Garnacho, too, as they seek a replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk, who is still provisionally suspended after failing a drugs test.
Napoli make improved Garnacho bid
Following the revelation of Chelsea's interest, and after falling short with approaches for Edon Zhegrova and Karim Adeyemi, Napoli have now launched a fresh bid for Garnacho.
According to Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have made a €55m offer for the Argentine and are refusing to give up on their pursuit. However, so far, Man Utd are sticking to their €70m valuation.

Personal terms for Garnacho are not expected to be a problem and, in fact, the Italian outlet goes so far as to suggest that an agreement has already been reached. Napoli are said to be willing to pay the 20-year-old €3m net per season.
Club-to-club talks are proving much more difficult and there have been suggestions that there is little chance of Napoli matching Man Utd's demands. Meanwhile, the Italian side have also entered the race for Deportivo la Coruna winger and Chelsea target Yeremay Hernandez.
