Fabrizio Romano issues ‘DEAL ON’ message for major Man Utd transfer
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Marcus Rashford is close to sealing a move away from Manchester United, with the brothers and agent of the England international seeking to finalise a deal with AC Milan.
Rashford has been heading for the Man Utd exit since being left out of the squad for the Manchester derby. In the aftermath of this dramatic decision from Ruben Amorim, the player announced that he is open to “new challenges”.
While there has been some difficulty finding a willing suitor, it appears that Milan have beaten Borussia Dortmund to securing a deal for Rashford, who also attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League. The intention of the 27-year-old has always been to remain in the ‘Big 5’ leagues.

Now Romano has confirmed that negotiations are being worked on with Milan.
“Marcus’ brother is in Italy, ready for face-to-face talks with AC Milan who are among the clubs keen on understanding the conditions of the deal. We’re not at advanced stages or not even in concrete negotiations as of now, but AC Milan are looking for an offensive player to add to their roster and Rashford is high on their list,” football transfer news expert Romano wrote for GiveMeSport.
“The England international's salary is also a key part of the story; Milan are not planning to cover the full salary but could be open to including a buy option clause in negotiations. For sure, talks will take place and we will see if Milan will be able to advance on both the player and club side with Man United.”

Rashford could stay at United
Even though Milan have made positive strides towards a deal and there is interest also from Juventus as well as Dortmund – talks are likely to take place with both – Romano stresses that it is not impossible that Rashford remains with United this January.
“There are still some chances for Rashford to stay and continue at Manchester United,” Romano says.
“The relationship is complicated, but not completely broken at this stage. Ruben Amorim wants to see more from Marcus, that’s very clear. He’s not been happy with some training sessions in recent weeks and that is the main reason why he’s been left out of the squad several times, apart from at Anfield where he missed the game because he was ill. But the story remains open.”
Rashford did not train for Man Utd on Thursday, with the illness that kept him out of the Liverpool clash persisting.
