Amorim tipped to sign Saudi Pro League star amid Man Utd woes
Manchester United could reportedly rekindle their interest in Al-Ahli forward Ivan Toney this summer.
The England international was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2024, but he opted to snub significant interest from the Red Devils in order to secure a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia.
Toney has scored nine goals in 19 appearances for Al-Ahli so far this season, but a return to the Premier League has been touted as an option for the 28-year-old.

Man Utd are currently 13th in the English top flight table, having lost 10 of their 22 league matches so far this season, and signing a new centre forward has been identified as a key transfer priority as talk of Ruben Amorim being sacked begins to circulate.
The Red Devils have reportedly submitted a verbal offer for Victor Osimhen, which yielded no luck, while they are hopeful of landing Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres this summer, despite competition from Arsenal.
However, Amorim’s side could also be open to the possibility of bringing Toney to the club, according to Ben Jacobs.

Jacobs recently told The Stretford Paddock: “I would still just keep, in the back pocket if you like, an eye on Ivan Toney.
“That’s because we know that Manchester United have looked [at him] in the past. There’s nothing to suggest yet that Toney’s chapter in Saudi is going to come to an end, and I certainly wouldn’t want to fuel belief that Manchester United are active on it yet.
“But I hear from a lot of sources that come the summer or maybe even January 2026 that the Toney situation is going to be one to watch.”
In addition to Toney, Man Utd are also hoping to sign at least one new wing-back in 2025, with Nuno Mendes and Milos Kerkez among their transfer targets.
