Man Utd handed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia boost
Manchester United have been handed an unlikely boost in their pursuit of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The 23-year-old is eager to leave Napoli during the January transfer window and several top clubs across Europe are now interested in finalising an agreement to sign him.
Paris Saint-Germain are the current frontrunners in the race to sign Kvaratskhelia, as they look to bolster Luis Enrique’s attacking roster, but Man Utd are determined to rival the French giants amid Marcus Rashford’s uncertain future at Old Trafford.

The ex-England international has admitted that he wants to leave Man Utd in 2025 and he is being pursued by the likes of AC Milan, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund ahead of a possible January exit.
Kvaratskhelia has been identified as one of Man Utd’s preferred targets to replace Rashford, and the Red Devils have now been handed a boost in their pursuit of the Georgia international.
Sport Italia have revealed that Napoli are interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho if Kvaratskhelia leaves the club in January, with Man Utd therefore potentially able to arrange a swap deal.
The Argentina international has been linked with an Old Trafford departure over the past few weeks and he could possibly be used as a makeweight in a deal for Kvaratskhelia if Ruben Amorim sanctions a sale of Garnacho.

What has been said?
Antonio Conte has confirmed that Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave Napoli this month amid increasing speculation of a January transfer.
“Kvara has asked to be sold. The club told me and he confirmed it,” Conte informed reporters ahead of his side’s Serie A clash against Hellas Verona.
“I feel very disappointed, because in these six months I have put him at the centre of the project making him understand that something important could be done and I have worked with the club for the renewal, instead we are back to the beginning.
“Evidently I have not been so incisive in convincing the parties to move forward together, today I find myself at a point where I have to take a step back.
“I cannot keep in chains those who do not want to stay. I did it in the summer, I had six months to convince them to find the solution and therefore it was a bolt from the blue.
“I would never want him to think that I vetoed him and chained him if he were to stay. This summer I was convinced that I would convince him to embrace the goodness of the project, but I didn't succeed.”
