Man Utd wonderkid taken off transfer list
Manchester United wonderkid Kobbie Mainoo has been taken off the transfer list and the club will now focus on extending his contract.
That is according to Give Me Sport, who report that Ruben Amorim and the club’s hierarchy have changed their plans for Mainoo and now see him as a key part of their future.
There were serious fears about Mainoo’s marriage with Manchester United during January as it was widely reported that the teenager was available for transfer.

Transfer expert David Ornstein reported at the start of January that, under INEOS, not even the club's most talented academy graduates are untouchable.
Due to Man Utd's unsatisfactory financial situation, club bosses will sanction the sales of players who would count as 'pure profit' on the balance sheet.
Mainoo falls into that category, as do Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has already left to join Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy, while Garnacho was in extensive talks to join Napoli in January only for the deal to fall through when a transfer fee could not be agreed.
There were also serious fears that Mainoo would depart in January, with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Bayern Munich heavily linked.
Struggles to agree a new contract for Mainoo, who is one of the lowest paid players at United at just £20,000 per week, also added to fears he would leave.
But the Mirror reports that United have now done a U-turn and plan to build their future around Mainoo.
They will place more focus on contract negotiations in the coming weeks and have made the decision that Mainoo is not for sale at any price this summer.
Mainoo at Man Utd
Mainoo came through the youth ranks at Man Utd and made his senior debut in the 2022-23 season.
The midfielder really broke out during the 2023-24 season, making 32 appearances and scoring five goals.
He scored the winner in the 2-1 FA Cup final win over Manchester City, becoming the first English teenager to score in the final since 1981.
He has been capped 10 times by England and he played at Euro 2024 as Gareth Southgate’s men finished runners-up.
