Man Utd identify DREAM Chelsea target as Rashford replacement
Manchester United have reportedly identified Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel as a transfer target if Marcus Rashford or Alejandro Garnacho leave the club this month.
Tel, 19, has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern and he has now decided to leave the Bundesliga giants amid his lack of game time under Vincent Kompany.
The France U21 international has only started three games in all competitions so far this season and he has been an unused substitute in three of Bayern’s last four matches.

As a result, he is pushing to leave the Allianz Arena before Deadline Day and Chelsea are eager to finalise a deal as they look to bolster Enzo Maresca’s attacking roster.
However, Man Utd are now considering entering the race to sign Tel, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Red Devils are actively searching for a new forward amid reports that Rashford and Garnacho could both depart in January, and they have reportedly identified Tel as a possible option if either player leaves Old Trafford.

What have Bayern Munich said?
Although Tel has decided to leave the Allianz Arena during the January window, Bayern Munich’s sporting director Christoph Freund has previously stated his intention to keep the Frenchman at the club.
Following reports of a possible transfer in early January, Freund told reporters: “We have a very good dialogue because he’s a big talent who should take on an important role for us.
“We’ve had a lot of conversations. Our clear aim is that Mathys will make the breakthrough with us.
“Obviously we’ll listen if a player isn’t happy, then we’ll talk about it. We want to see through our plan with Mathys.”
Tel has four-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Bayern, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €33 million.
